It's been a while...
It's amazing how many different ways I am able to distract myself when i have exams. My room becomes spotless and all the random chores that had been putt off for the past weeks instantaneously become complete.
Went back to Taiwan in April for two weeks. This is the first proper break I have taken since starting at Schroders. It was definitely a welcoming one - especially when BOTH of my parents took a break in the name of our first family trip in 13 years!
The first week was well planned, with a journey down south to Hualian.
The highlight of the trip included swimming with two adorable dolphins and enjoying a more rural living style. People generally have more time to climb mountains, encountering an old lady selling corn cobs freshly picked at dawn from her own plantation, reaching the top just before sunrise, and taking a big breath of that refreshing and rewarding morning fresh air.
Second week was much more a 'oh-my-god-i-only-have-one-week-left'week. Did the usual getting everything ready, shop and sing until I drop sessions. Being far too organised, also did some prepping for the exams to come. Nothing too special I'm afraid.
That was two months ago. Time really does fly when things get busy. It was a lot easier getting on with life in UK, going back to Taiwan and living another life almost disrupted my normal living pattern. Think, where would I rather be? An oscillating life remains a disturbance in life, making it hard to fogus. Decision should be made soon...
