想回家 時間倒轉
First blog of 2007, and as positive and upbeat as I like to start the year - this time I am afraid that I am going to start by saying:
'I miss home sooo much'.
I always feel guilty for wanting to go home. It seems a selfish intention after all my parents have given me to send me abroad. No one around seems to get homesick the way I do.
I feel consoled. I am not the only one that longs to be back to one's homeland after having left to experience life.
The Little Prince is on my side.
If I have a time machine, I long to return home and be a child once more. The idea of sublime infancy and understanding through innocence – at times we should all take a moment and attempt to see the world once more through less subjective means.
"But certainly, for those of us who understand life, figures are a matter of indifference."
Seen 'One Litre of Tears'? A girl with a near-perfect life (Succeeded in getting into the top high school in Japan, the only first year student to be put in the high school basketball team, a sweet personality with a loving family) contracted one of the cruelest form of illness – muscular dystrophy. Having begun to taste the sweetness of success, she then has to endure the progressive loss of ability to move, to speak and eventually, become lost and confused of her purpose to live. Very sad…
'If a child's tears move you, they are windows opening on the vastness of the sea; for not those tears only, but the whole world's tears, are quickening your compassion, and that child is but one who takes you by the hand and shows you the sorrows of mankind.'
